Do you know the reason behind “Celebrating Halloween”?
Halloween is celebrated on October 31 every year, which is on Thursday in 2019.
It is holiday festive and this tradition dates back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, where people used to dress them up as ghosts and organizes parties and bonfires.
In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as All Saints Day, which later became a festive day for Halloween. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween. Halloween is celebrated by people around the world, where they throw hallow eve parties and play a lot of games like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating treats.
